INCIDENTS
Working Structure Fire, Union Twp.
Stations 24 (Elrama), 26 (Finleyville) and Allegheny Co. 271 (Library) were dispatched to State Route 88 in the area of Mineral Beach Swimming Pool for a reported WSF. Cpt. 26-5 was first on the scene confirming it to be a WSF, fire showing from the front porch with side "A" involvement. Crews soon arrived and preformed a quick knock down from the exterior. After the fire was brought under control, additional crews were used to provide ventilation and preform overhaul of the structure. The PA State Police is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Commercial Structure Fire
Stations 24 (Elrama), 26 (Finleyville), and Allegheny Co. 271 (Library) were alerted in the early morning on August 29, for a reported commercial structure fire at the Mineral Beach Swimming Pool on Route 88 in Union Township. Washington 911 advised multiple callers for a working fire. Peter Twp. Police were first on the scene reporting working fire through the roof of the concession stand. Chief 26 requested a second alarm adding stations 14 (New Eagle) and 46 (Valley Inn) to the assignment. Engine crews from 26, and 271 soon arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. Crews from 24 and 14 arrived and provided man power for ventilation and overhaul. No injuries were reported from the fire and the PA State Police is currently investigating the cause.
