10/12/2008 @ 08:30 ATV Accident

Station 24 was dispatched to Turnpike 43 for a reported ATV accident, JHAAA requested Squad 24 for medical back up.

     Responding Units: Squad 24, Medic 595, Station 26

 
10/7/2008 @ 13:30 Fire Alarm

 Station 24 was dispatched for a fire alarm activation.

    Responding Units: Station24, Station26, Medic 595

 
9/13/2008 @ 01:30    MVA

Station 24 was dispatched to a reported MVA on Stone Church Road near the county line in Union Township. Upon arrival on scene One vehicle involved with no injuries. Crews returned back in service in about 10 minutes.

    Responding Units:  Engine 24, Rescue 24, Squad 24, Station 26. Medic 595

 
9/9/2008 @ 23:30     MVA with Wires Down 

Station 24 responded to state route 88 foor a MVA with Injuries and multiple wires down. Crews arrived on scene and assisted Jefferson EMS with patient care and helped with traffic control until the power company and the State Police arrived.

8/26/2008 @ 23:00    FIRE

Station 24 was dispatched to a reported structure fire in Union Township

    Responding Units:  Engine 24, Station 26. Medic 595

 8/24/2008 @ 09:50   Police Assist


Station 24 responded to state route 837 to close the road for the PA State Police. 
     Responding Units: Engine 24, Rescue 24, Squad 24, Station 14.

8/10/2008 @ 10:00    EMS


Station 24 was dispatched to assist medics on scene in Union Township for an Emergency Childbirth. 24 crews assisted Jefferson Hills Area Ambulance medics with the patients care. Both mom and baby were transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.

    Responding Units:  Squad 24, 24-L1, Medic 591, and Medic 593.

8/5/2008 @ 18:30   MVA


Station 24 responded to state route 837 for a reported vehicle into a garage. Upon arrival on scene. I male was found ejected from his vehicle crews from 24 and 14 extricated patient from garage. Patient was transported by JHAAA to the Elrama gun club were he was flown to a Pittsburgh Trauma Center.

8/2/2008 @ 11:00  Dirtbike Accident

 Station 24 was dispatcded to the area of Stone Church Rd and Snee Lane in Union Twp for a Male Injured from a dirtbike accident. Upon arrival on scene other ATV riders transported JHAAA Medics to the scene and extricated patient from woods. Crews assisted with patient care and traffic control. Crews returned back in service in about 30 minutes.

7/30/2008 @ 23:00  HAZMAT


 Station 24 responded to the Shire Oaks rail yard for a diesel fuel spill. Crews contained the spill and released the scene to the railroad's clean up crew.

     Responding Units: Engine 24, Rescue 24, Chief 24, Station 26

6/28/2008 @ 20:00  Motorcycle Accident


Station 24 (Elrama) along with Station 26 (Finleyville) were dispatched at 20:00 hrs to a reported motorcycle accident with injuries. 26 was first on scene reporting a male with a leg injury. Upon arrival of Rescue 24, Squad 24 crews assisted JHAAA Medic 597 and 593 with patient care. Engine 24 responded to Finley Middle School for a Landing Zone, but all air transport services declined due to approaching storms. The patient was transported to a Pittsburg trauma center for further care. Crews remained on scene for PA State Police to investigate and for scene clean up. Crews then returned back in service around 21:30 hrs.

5/28/2008   Bicycle Accident


The volunteers of station 24 responded to State Route 837 in Union Township for a Motor Vehicle Accident, Vehicle vs. Bicycle. Upon arrival crews found 1 vehicle on the roadway with windshield damage. The bicycle rider was complaining of minor injuries. The patient was transported to a Pittsburgh Hospital for evaluation by Jefferson Hills Area Ambulance. Station 24 remained on scene with one lane of the road shut down until PSP arrived on scene.
