WELCOME TO THE ELRAMA VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY
The primary fire and rescue service for Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvaina.
The Elrama Volunteer Fire Company is located in the northeast corner of Union Township in the village of Elrama, Washington County PA and is about 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh. The Elrama VFC serves a mostly rural area with a population of nearly 6,000 residents. Elrama VFC is a 100% volunteer, non profit organization who's goal is to protect the lives and property of its residents and visitors. Last year, in 2008 the volunteers of station 24 provided fire suppression, emergency rescue, and EMS first Responder services to 206 emergency calls in Union Township and other surrounding communities. The Elrama Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank our residents for their continued support.

2009 in Review!
Motor Vehicle Accident, Route 837
Late Saturday evening of April 24, 2010, the volunteers of Station 24 were requested by Washington Co. 911 for a reported Motor Vehicle Accident with Unknown Injuries, Engine 24-2 soon went enroute with a crew of 6. Upon arrival on scene Chief 24 established command and found no occupants in or around the vehicle. The vehicle was found to have moderate damage to the passenger front. Upon arrival on the PA State Police, a tow was notified and Engine 24-2 soon returned after the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
Landing Zone at Gastonville Elementary Center
On the afternoon of April 18, 2010 , Elrama VFC was requested by Jefferson Hills Area Ambulance Medic 591 to assist with a landing zone at Gastonville Elementary Center for a critical trauma patient be flown to a Pittsburgh Trauma Center. Engine 24-2 responded along with Finleyville VFD to stand by while the aircraft landed. Lifeflight 5 stationed out of Rostraver Airport landed without incident and the patient was then transfered to the care of the Lifeflight Critical Care Nurses on board.
