LAST ALARM's

11/15/2008 @ 17:00 MVA

Station 24 was dispatched to Route 88 in the area of Brownsville Rd Ext. Upon arrival crews found one vehicle into a utility pole. with 1 female injured. The squad crew assisted JHAAA medics with patient care. while the rescue crew secured the vehicle and the engine crew controled traffic.

Responding Units: Squad 24, Rescue 24, Engine 24, Station 26, JHAAA Medic 593.

11/12/2008 @ 23:00 Gas Odor

Station 24 was dispatched to McChain Rd in Union Twp after a backhoe hit a gas line. Engine 24 established a safe area while on scene until the gas company arrived to shut the line down.

Responding: Engine 24, Rescue 24, JHAAA Medic 591.

WELCOME TO THE ELRAMA VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY

The primary fire and rescue service for Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvaina.

The Elrama Volunteer Fire Company is located in the northeast corner of Union Township in the village of Elrama, Washington County PA and is about 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh. The Elrama VFC serves a mostly rural area with a population of nearly 6,000 residents. Elrama VFC is a 100% volunteer, non profit organization who's goal is to protect the lives and property of its residents and visitors. Last year, in 2007 the volunteers of station 24 provided fire suppression, emergency rescue, and EMS first Responder services to 187 emergency calls in Union Township and other surrounding communities. The Elrama Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank our residents for their continued support.

Multiple Calls Keep Elrama VFC Volunteers busy

Monday october, 20 ,20008 was a busy evening for the volunteers of station 24. The volunteers responded to four emergency calls within a period of three hours. The evening started off with a Smoke investigation in the South Park Mobile Estates, shortly after 24 was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Collision in the 4400-block of Finley-Elrama Rd when a vehicle left the road, sheered a utility pole, landed on its roof, and slid into a house. No one was injured. Station 24 then was activated for a EMS First Responed in the Village of Elrama. Once crews cleared Station 24 was requested to respond to Hill Street for an odor of gas.

Two Structure Fires In Union Township

On Monday October 6th the volunteers of station 24 had a busy day with two structure fires, Station 24 was first dispatched to Nasal Lane in Union for a kitchen fire, Upon arrival on scene along with Finleyville VFD and New Eagle VFD the fire was extinguished and damage was confined to the kitchen. After clearing Nasal Lane, Station 24 was dispatched to the Elrama Tavern for a structure fire, Engine 24 was first to arrive on scene and had the fire knocked down before additional firefighters came from New Eagle, West Elizabeth, and Finleyville.
