Carbon Monoxide Class at Station 24
Jefferson Hills Area Ambulance along with the Elrama VFC hosted a carbon monoxide class on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Firefighters and EMS personnel from all over the mon valley attended the class presented by Rich Kaufman and Scott Dolan from UPMC Prehospital Care.
Washington Fire Grounds Training Day
The volunteers of station 24 and some volunteers of the West Elizabeth VFC came together on Saturday, November 15, 2008 to practice fire supression tachniques in a controled environment. The Elrama VFC Members would like to thank the Washington Co. Firemans Association for allowing us to use the fire grounds.
Vehicle Rescue / Fire Drill
On Thursday The Members station 24 along with Instructer Tim Miller Participated in a Vehicle Fire and Rescue drill.


Rope Rescue Drill
�On Thursday June 26, 2008 the Volunteers of Station 24 with members of Station 14 joined at the Elrama VFC for a rope Rescue Drill. Instructed by Tim Miller (BVFD sta. 11), the volunteers reviewed basic rope terminology, knots, and uses. The class then practiced many different ways rope could be used on a fire scene. Finally the drill ended with practicing various procedures for rescuing victims over a hill using a stokes basket. The Elrama VFC would like to Thank Tim Miller for leading the class and New Eagle VFC for participating.

Allegheny Power Plant Tour
On Monday June 3, 2008 the volunteers of station 24 along with members of New Eagle VFD and Monongahela VFD came together to participate in an awareness tour and information session about what to do in case of an emergency at the Courtney Hill Power Station. The volunteers learned about the plant's fire policies and procedures as well as past incidents at the plant.

BVR at Wash Co. Fire Academy
�On the weekend of May 31, Firefighters, Bakori, Madaras, Quinn, and Wilson attend Basic Vehicle Rescue class at the Washington Co. Fire Academy. This was the volunteers final technician level class that must be completed before taking the PA Dept. of Health Certification Test.
